For more than 30 years, the eQuality Scholarship Collaborative has cultivated student leadership. Our total tuition payouts in 2020 will exceed $1,600,000.

The eQuality Scholarship Collaborative grants African American scholarships to recognize and support students who have contributed to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community in California.

Eligibility

• A resident of northern or central California who graduated from high school or its equivalent between July 1, 2015, and June 30, 2020;

• Northern or central California residents who completed or plan to graduate community college between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2020;

• Currently enrolled or approved for admission in a California-accredited ADN or BSN RN program; or

• Pursuing a doctoral degree in another health-related discipline at a California-accredited graduate school or as a California resident at an accredited graduate school elsewhere in the United States.

43. Melanie Foundation Scholarship

The scholarship is only for one year, although candidates can apply for more.

Each year, the number of awards is selected based on the quality and number of contenders, but the award sum remains the same — $2500.

Eligibility

44. NBNA Board of Directors Scholarship

To assist an eligible NBNA member in obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing. The official transcript must be postmarked and forwarded to the NBNA National Office immediately. Two letters of recommendation are required.

• An undergraduate student is required.

• For Black kids, there are racial restrictions.

• Nursing students only are eligible.

• National Black Nurses’ Association membership is required.

45. STRIDE Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship

During their first two years at Smith, high-achieving students are paired with Smith faculty as paid research assistants through the Student Research in Departments (STRIDE) Program. Juniors, seniors, and graduate students are the only ones who can participate in such black colleges scholarships

Eligibility

• All program requirements, fines, and how contract violations arise must be understood.

• Breaching program terms can result in serious consequences, such as having to repay the entire loan amount, plus interest.

• All money awarded are subject to a 9.5 percent annual interest rate from the date the loan is disbursed.

46. Student Stipend Program

This black colleges scholarships program (SP) provides financial assistance to graduates of recognized blended and online programs so that they can continue their education after high school. The SSP is the only scholarship of its type, dedicated to students who have demonstrated a dedication to digital learning and intend to continue using it throughout their secondary education.

Eligibility

• To be considered, candidates must have completed at least one term (quarter, semester, trimester, etc.) at UAB.

• Candidates may enroll in any program offered by the UAB School of Health Professions.

• All degree levels (baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral) are acceptable.

• Eligibility is not determined by financial need.

47. Udall Undergraduate Scholarship

The Udall Undergraduate Scholarships are black colleges scholarships for juniors and sophomores who want to pursue careers in policy, engineering, science, education, urban planning and renewal, business, health, justice, and economics, among other subjects. Future Native American and Alaskan Native leaders in public and community health care, tribal administration, and public policy affecting Native American communities, such as land and resource management, economic development, and education, are also sought by the foundation.

Eligibility

• A current sophomore or junior (class standing is defined on the Udall website) in any major or field of study.

• Demonstrate leadership and community involvement in work relating to the environment, Native American/Native Alaskan health care, or tribal policy.

• Have a B+ or above GPA.

• An American citizen.

48. Advanced Practice Healthcare Scholarship Program

Advanced Practice Healthcare Scholarship recipients may receive up to $25,000 for one year of education. If selected, recipients agree to practice full-time, direct patient care at a qualified facility in California for a period of twelve (12) months. Applicants are eligible for up to three (3) awards.

Donations and grants support the Advanced Practice Healthcare Scholarship Program. Due to funding constraints, some professions may not be eligible for an award.

Eligibility

• Enroll in at least six (6) units, or its equivalent, until the program is completed.

• Have a 2.0 or higher GPA

• You must graduate by June 30th.

• Be free of any other service responsibilities.

• Be willing to work for twelve (12) months in a medically underserved area.

• By the application deadline, complete and submit your application using the OSHPD Funding Portal.

49. AMBUCS Scholarship Program

National AMBUCS, Inc. has been giving black colleges scholarships to therapy students in their junior/senior year of a bachelor’s degree program, or a graduate program leading to a master’s or PhD degree, for the past many years. Nearly 15,000 students pursuing degrees in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, and audiology have received more than $8.3 million in scholarships to date.

Eligibility

• The applicant must be of American Indian heritage and have graduated from high school or be enrolled in a college program.

• Currently pursuing a nursing degree that requires excellent academic performance.

• A graduate of a nursing program is required after two years in an Associate Degree Certificate program.

• You must obtain a Bachelor’s degree within four years if you are seeking one.

• Those interested in pursuing a postgraduate degree can also apply. A recommendation from a Guidance Counselor or another member of the school administration is required.

• Must write a letter requesting financial support and not have previously earned any Indian Health Program scholarships.

50. AOTF Scholarship Program

The Scholarship Program is one of the Foundation’s oldest programs, dating back to 1965 when AOTF was founded. AOTF expanded the program in the early 1980s to include collaborations between state associations and AOTF to award scholarships on their behalf. The founders stipulated that only students enrolled in authorized academic occupational therapy programs be eligible for AOTF scholarships, as well as the scholarship program’s operating schedule.

Eligibility

• 3.0 GPA is required.

• This award is available to two-year colleges.

• This award is only available to four-year colleges.

• The award is only open to nationals of the United States.

51. Arthur W. Pense Scholarship

Each year, one $3,000 scholarship is awarded. These black colleges scholarships are provided in $1,500.00 semester payments for whatever year the student is in college. The money must be claimed within four years of when the scholarship was given out.

Eligibility

• You must be a current undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate student.

• Full-time studies are required.

• Only available to New York residents.

• Only available to New York University students.

• Only students studying Therapy/Rehabilitation are eligible.

52. Linda Craig Memorial Scholarship

Former Indiana Pacers athletic trainer and team executive David Craig and Dr. John Abrams founded this award in Linda Lorraine Sharvelle Craig’s honor. Those who remember Linda and want to carry on her memory are supporting the scholarship. Each year, three $2,500 awards are given out, which can be utilized at any approved Indiana four-year institution or two-year junior or community college.

Eligibility

• An undergraduate student is required.

• Only Indiana students are eligible to apply.

53. Marcus Raper Zimmerman Scholarship

This award is designed to assist handicapped Forsyth County individuals in paying for their college education. You can apply for a scholarship grant from the Marcus Raper Zimmerman Fund, which will pay your tuition and other academic expenses.

Should pursue a bachelor’s degree at authorized colleges affiliated with the Marcus Raper Zimmerman Fund. This is an opportunity for individuals who are physically challenged to update themselves and pursue courses.

54. Speech-Language Pathology Graduate Student Scholarship

The American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation (ASHF) holds many scholarship and grant competitions each year for graduate students and new researchers in communication sciences and disorders. Graduate student scholarships for master’s or doctorate level students studying audiology or speech language pathology are available up to 10 times per year.

• Physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, and hearing audiology students must be admitted into an authorized program by the appropriate health treatment profession authority.

55. The Elizabeth J. Davis Scholarship

The Elizabeth J. Davis Scholarship was created to help home care providers pursue postgraduate degrees as well as students pursuing bachelor’s or associate’s degrees in health-related fields. Any Vermont citizen pursuing a degree in a health-related field and intending to work in home care in Vermont after graduation is eligible for the scholarship.

Eligibility

• A student must be enrolled in a qualified college (not necessarily a Vermont college) and be studying nursing (RN and LPN), physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, or medical social work to be eligible for the award. To apply, the student must submit an application to the Vermont Student Assistant Corporation (VSAC). There are two short essays required. Although financial need is taken into account, there is no obligation. The prizes vary from $1,000 and $3,000.

56. Washington State Opportunity Baccalaureate Scholarship

For students pursuing high-demand STEM and health-care degrees, the Baccalaureate Scholarship gives up to $22,500 in flexible financial aid and access to career-launching support services. This award can be used to pay for tuition, fees, and other educational expenses such as housing, food, and transportation. Any qualified STEM or health-care degree at any eligible public or private college or university in Washington state is eligible for funding.

Eligibility

57. Emerging Global Leader Scholarship

The American University Emerging Global Leader Scholarship supports educational access and opportunity while also promoting international diversity. The AU Emerging Global Leader achieves, inspires, and serves with vision by combining the best of AU – academic achievement, leadership development, and global involvement. The AU EGL is committed to constructive civic and social change, and they will return home to help underprivileged communities in their native country.

Eligibility

• Students who are still in secondary or high school and will graduate before June 2021.

•: IB students should aim to complete a full IB diploma with at least three HL topics. Before August 2021, students enrolled in the British A-Levels system must complete at least three A levels and complete 13 years of education.

• The selection process for the AU EGLS is extremely competitive. AU EGLS applicants who apply and complete the AU EGLS application, Common or Coalition Application, and international admissions process by December 15, 2020 will receive priority consideration.

58. PEO International Peace Scholarships for Women

The scholarship is awarded based on demonstrable financial need, although it is not designed to cover all academic or personal expenditures. The applicant must specify additional financial resources adequate to fulfill her projected expenses at the time of application. Personal and family finances, tuition waivers, labor scholarships, teaching assistantships, study grants, and other scholarships are examples of supplementary resources.

Eligibility

• The P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship Fund assists women from outside the United States and Canada who are pursuing advanced degrees at an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada, with the expectation that students will return to their home countries and use their education to make a positive impact and foster global peace.

• Scholarships are available for international students attending Cottey College.

• A student who is a United States or Canadian citizen or permanent resident is not eligible. A student who is merely residing for tax purposes is permitted.

• Online courses, research, internships, and practical training that are not coupled with coursework are not eligible for scholarships.

59. AAUW International Fellowships in USA for Women

A limited number of grants are offered to women who are members of Graduate Women International for study outside of the United States (excluding the applicant’s home country) (see the list of GWI affiliates).

Eligibility

• If resident in the United States, have citizenship in a nation other than the United States or a nonimmigrant visa.

• After completing their studies, they intend to return to their home country to pursue a professional job.

60. Knight-Hennessy Scholars at Stanford University

Hennessey Knight Stanford University Scholarships provide 100 fully funded scholarships to international students and US citizens to pursue Masters, PhD, MS, MBA, MFA, MD, and Joint Degrees at Stanford University, the world’s leading university. This Scholarship Program will cover all of your expenses. The Knight Hennessy scholarship program allows students to study in any academic discipline or degree. In the QS World Universities Ranking, Stanford University is rated #2. The University will provide full funding to the selected students.
